So, today has been the day of ALMOSTS to the max!!
I ALMOST got a full night sleep:
Harper slept 8 hours because she was awake from 6:30am until 8pm yesterday. Yikes! Glad she slept well.
Rylie, however, woke up with a nightmare (she has been having a lot lately!! :( Poor girl!) Waking up with a toddler is way harder than a baby. I actually have to fully wake up and try to reason with her.
I ALMOST got to take a shower.
In fact, I was already in and was just about to wash my hair when Rylie needed help going potty. Then Harper decided it was time to eat. I never actually made it back to that shower. Oh well, another day I guess.
We ALMOST used our free pass to go to an awesome pool in town.
But Rylie decided going to the pool was not her thing today. Bummer, that would have been fun.
Rylie ALMOST remembered to go pee in the potty but instead went on the couch. Accidents happen, right. If only she had stayed in the kitchen like I asked.
I ALMOST worked out while both the girls took a nap.
After being distracted by the numerous household chores that had been neglected, I finally got into my workout gear and had just finished the warm up when Rylie decided nap time was over and she should go wake up Harper. (She is not allowed to leave her room until we get her. That was a first.)
I ALMOST got to write a post on my blog
:)
(I wrote this a few days ago...I finally get to post it now!) Haha...just a fun snap shot into what my days are like. Its good to remain flexible these days. :)
You are supermom!! I mean it! Wow. And for the first "almost" about Harper sleeping 8 hours - that is amazing, but I know from very regular personal experience how exasperating the day before probably was as you tried to get her to nap, worried when she wouldn't, repeated the process multiple times... (or maybe that's just me!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a great role model of life with two!!
haha - the almost day! I love it. You're a trooper.
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar! But I imagine the day before with Harper never sleeping all day--that might have been rough?
