A New Name

So it was about time I changed the name of my blog. Meet the Robinson 3 just wasn't working any more! When I started this blog I had one lovely little girl and now, half a second later, I have three little beauties! :) I love the chance to keep you all (my family and friends) updated with what is happening in our very busy and blessed lives! It helps me feel connected to you even though we live apart. I just wish you could ALL do the same so we could know more of the day to day in your lives. Am I inspiring you yet to start your own blog? ;)

So why You Are My Sunshine?

Every night around the table we talk about the best part of our day and the worst part, Our "sunshine and rain cloud". Takes you back to summer camp, huh? Harper has really caught on to this and now is often the initiator of the conversation. It is absolutely adorable!! She loves asking daddy what his "sunshineraincoud" is. Almost every night the girls rain cloud is when daddy goes to work and their sunshine is when he comes home.

When Adam and I were dating we used to leave each other singing messages (we should start that again!). It was my turn and as his voicemail came on I had to think quick because I had expected him to answer so I began singing You Are My Sunshine. As I approached the line "you'll never know dear how much I..." I realized what was coming next.  "LOVE you". I panicked. I had not told him I loved him yet. Of course, we all know I did but still should I say it in a singing message?!! I stopped suddenly and awkwardly trailed off into the actual reason I had called. I have never lived it down. :) A few months later I was leaving class and saw I had a message...yep, you guessed it. Adam had left me the same message only shouting out the word LOVE so the world, or everyone on his campus, could hear. How romantic! haha! Often when I want to sing to the girls, especially in the crying baby stage, it is the first song that comes to mind.

I feel that it is fitting as our blog title for all those reasons but also because since it is my desire to be totally transparent and real as I give you glimpses into our lives. This means often sharing the happy, fun, forever in our memory moments but also at times the not so fabulous moments as well.

Now, you can do me a favor and comment on this post. Tell me if you received an email notification about this post. I am trying to keep it as private as possible but still making it easy for you to access it. Also, this will give me a good idea of who and how many people actually read/look at our blog. And if I need to change to privacy settings again I will know who to notify. Thanks!! (Also, let me know if you need help learning how to post a comment.)

Love to you all.
