You Are My Sunshine: Its been a whole month!

Its been a whole month!

Seriously?! How has it already been a month since my last post? And I was going to do a better job at posting. Oh well! Can I start now? :) I saw that a friend actually wrote a post and scheduled it to post a few days after she wrote it. I think I am going to try that. Here's to hoping!

We did get our computer looked at and bought some more memory so hopefully it will be back in order now. I haven't actually uploaded any new pictures yet so that will be the true test.

Last Tuesday Rylie was REALLLY missing her Dad so we decided it would be a fun random day to do something special for him. It was finally sunny but still pretty chilly. Rylie decided to make clues. She actually came up with all the ideas herself!

CLUE #1

They dressed up as princesses for prince Daddy and hid in a closet. Rylie told me that would make Adam feel special since he loves hide and seek! :) Isn't he the best Dad ever that Rylie doesn't even see that its her that loves the game but he so enthusiastically plays with her that she thinks its him who likes it the most. :)

CLUE #2

(I didn't take pictures of the rest of the clues because I wrote them for Rylie.)

I set up a special dinner for you, Daddy. Can you find it?

She set out the picnic all by herself!! And served Daddy his plate. So precious!!

CLUE #3

I know you love birds. Will you help teach me how to care for them? Can you find our project we are going to do together?

Of course he didn't have to find the project. She looked for a good hiding spot for about 10 minutes just to tell him the moment he got the clue. Gotta love 3 year olds!

Their project - inspired by Jackson & Brandon. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any bird houses for them to build so they just got to decorate one.

CLUE #4

I made you a very special treat all by myself! It might still be in the oven where we baked it.

Oops, no picture. But she made Adam a cake, seriously all by herself, complete with sprinkles and marshmallows. It was pretty creative! :)

CLUE #5

I am starting to feel sleepy. Let's get ready for bed. I already have all the books picked out. But do you know where they are? (She hid them under her pillow.)

This is soooooo awesome!!! They're all DAD books at the end! Oh my gosh! I am seriously melting into a puddle. What an awesome idea and go YOU for making it all happen in such an enthusiastic way. Loved the insight about hide-and-seek. :) :)

Rylie had asked me to get her bike for her to ride. I needed to run something inside the house really quick. I came right back out and this is what she said to me.

Ry: "Mama, everything I ask you and everything you do makes me so mad!"

Mom: "What do you mean "so many"?"

Ry: "You have dots kattooed all over your body!"

Mom: "Oh those are my freckles."

Ry: "Well, I guess I like them."

Me to Adam: "Rylie is getting so old!"

Ry: "Mom! I am NOT old!! Old means I'm getting rid of me."

Me: "What?"

Ry: "Well, my doll that's upstairs on my floor that I forgot to clean up and take down to the basement is getting old and I don't want to get rid of it like the toys that are in the garage."

Me: "Wow, that is very smart thinking but we don't get rid of humans when they are old, just toys."

Ry: "Whaaat?! I'm a human!?!"

Me: "Haha...yes. You are human!"

"Daddy is going to love my nails. He will say, "Oh my, who is this girl?" and I will say, "It's Rylie the Pink!". "Oh how beautiful!! Lets clap for my toenails. They did such a great job!"

Rylie woke up crying after we had put her to bed and when I went to check on her she told me she had "bee boxes on her hand". After thinking about it for a while I realized her hand had fallen asleep. :) "Mom, can you just massage the bee boxes away?"

Ry: Well, not that really good.

Me: Oh no! Why?

Ry: Because I had a little bit of monsters in it.

Me: Oh, in your dreams?

Ry: Yeah, but they were not that really scary. They were a little bit nice. Hehehehe

Adam (about 5 minutes later): Rylie, how did you sleep?

Ry: Not that really.

Adam: Why not?

Ry: These nice monsters were there and said, "we need lots of water".
