We said goodbye to our little Jeremiah on Jan 21st. He is back with his mom now and i think/hope doing well. I was so nervous about how the girls would feel/react to him leaving. After I explained how he missed his mama and wanted to be home Rylie ran and grabbed her "spend" jar and told me that she wanted to throw him a going home party. This was totally her idea! I had been racking my brain for days trying to figure out how to make his leaving our home a special and joyful thing. I followed her lead and allowed her to spend her own money she had been saving on balloons, party hats and cupcakes. We had a low key but very memorable party for him the night before he left including telling our favorite part of having him with us and praying for him. The girls handled the transition so well! I am so thankful.
We got to help celebrate his first birthday with his mom about a week ago and he looked very happy. It was good to be reunited for a bit.
