February Update

What? It's May? Wow, where has the time gone? I guess I should do another update. Haha! I wrote this awhile ago (  )

As I sit here this morning watching Harper laying down playing, army crawling around then sitting back up to play with her toys I feel inspired to write a post on what my girls have been up to these days. Well, wouldn't you just know it...even as I write these words Harper decided to crawl, legitimately crawl over to investigate what I am doing. Way to go little girl! This is her first official crawling!!! She is making history right here with all of you. That seems to be a theme for Harper. She likes to do things when she knows family and friends will be around to experience it with her, even if it is just through modern technologies like blogs. :)

Harper 9 months old already!

She is now...
Feeding herself
Eating real food not just baby food (she is a much better eater than someone else I know.)
Starting to pull up on things
Chunky monkey! (a formula fed baby)
Pushing herself up to sitting
CRAWLING!
Playing games: hide and seek, give and take
Pulling hair like its her job (a big source of tension between her and Mama Rylie!)

Rylie 3 years old!

Loves puzzles and games like chase and hide and seek. She can play these games FOREVER!
Can identify and write all her letters. (Though, I have to show her how to write it first.) She is starting to learn how to read by practicing her sight words (the, and, of, to, in). Can you tell she has a teacher as a mom?
Rylie can do all sorts of things by herself, which is very freeing and depressing to me. She can dress herself, brush her own teeth, take a shower by herself. However, somehow since Harper was born she has regressed in the feeding herself department. Inevitably every night we end up feeding her just so she will finish her food.

This is random...a fun cave that we made last time it snowed.

  1. Love this! I will definitely still be feeding Addison when she is 3 and probably when she's 13! At least there is hope that if she has a younger sibling they won't necessarily have the same disdain for food!

    Miss both of them. :(
