Oh man! Our baby girl is well over a year now! I wanted to do a post on her birthday party but it just never happened. Plus, I don't have any of the pictures and pictures are the best part! Oh well.
So she is 14 months now. A week ago she finally decided to walk. I say finally not because she is late or anything just because I believe she could have started walking months ago, she went straight from crawling to do this weird crab-like crawl where her knees don't touch the ground. She likes being on her feet. I think she has actually been secretly walking for a while now just not when anyone is watching. :) Sneaky girl. One of the best parts of walking is that she can now tackle/body slam her sister!! Oh the laughter and joy that comes with being sisters!!
Necklaces are now a must have part of her daily wardrobe. Every morning within the first few minutes she finds a necklace or 5 and puts them on. The best part is she leaves them on all day! I think its really cute.
Harper also loves to "dress" herself. This usually means she is putting Rylie's underwear on her head or trying to steal her tutus. :) She really tries hard to get her shirt on herself or get shoes on her feet its just too challenging right now to actually succeed.
You would think with all this girly dressing up that she would not be into sports...wrong! Harper LOVES balls and is pretty good at throwing. She also very much enjoys climbing in out of things, such as boxes, the bumbo, carseats, you name it. Endless entertainment!!
She is talking a bunch! My favorite is "cheese". However, she still doesn't have the words to express her frustration which means there is lots of screaming and growling going on, especially towards her sister. :)
No! She's not this big! All these changes aren't happening! *closing my eyes*
ReplyDeleteThat said, she's totally a doll. The bike/motorcycle picture is amazing - such a ham! And I can't believe her hair is long enough to french braid! Please shoot a video of her talking!
